About Us
The Mission of the Planned Parenthood of Houston & Southeast Texas Action Fund is to
foster and preserve a social and political climate favorable to fulfilling our mission and
providing reproductive health care and education services, through public education,
voter mobilization, legislative activity and such political activities that are permissible for a
tax exempt social welfare organization and a separate segregated fund. The Action Fund
(a separately incorporated, funded and operated entity) and its associated political action
committees (PACs) have been battling on the front lines on behalf of Texas families for
over a decade. Since our inception in 1992, we’ve spent hundreds of hours lobbying
legislators and have invested considerable resources to elect progressive leaders to
fight for accurate sex education and access to reproductive health services and abortion.
As the political and advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Inc., the Action
Fund engages in educational and electoral activity, including voter education campaigns,
legislative advocacy and activities in support of pro-choice candidates.
